DUCT TAPEQ: Does anyone have any tips as to how I can get my 21 month old son to keep his diaper on?
A: Duct tape. Seriously, my sister and brother in law wrapped duct tape around the diaper / waist, so their daughter would leave them on.
Q: My daughter is 19 months old and she will NOT leave her diaper on! OMG it's driving me crazy
A: A freind of mine had this problem during her twins naptime. Yep, two times the poop smeared around the crib. Her pediatrician suggested duct-taping their diapers around their wastes.
Q: My LO (little one) will be 1 in just a few days but has recently started taking his diaper off any time he is wet or dirty. I don't know what to do.
A: Dylan is only 9 months old, but he does this too
A: Duct tape! Just put a strip of duct tape around the diaper after you put it on
Q: I have a 15 month old and he will not keep his diaper on, we have to duct tape it closed.
A: You're not the only one who's resorted to duct tape...I've got a few friends who did the same thing!
Q: LOL!! My son does the same thing too, but I think it's because of the hot weather and he's hot. He just turned 2, so we're in the process of potty training, but I also cannot figure out a way to keep that diaper on. It's embarrassing when we have people over, and all of a sudden you see him running around with his bare but and all.
Q: My DS is 16 months old and loves to run around naked!! It is a constant battle to get him back into a diaper after we took off his old one.
Q: My kids (two year old twins) always take off their diapers and throw their poop all over. I'm so tired of having to clean up the huge mess everyday and constantly washing clothes and giving them a bath.
A: I have twin boys they are 15 now, I had the same problem. Take some duct tape and wrap around the diaper.
A: I have 2 yr old twin boys that love to do this! It's been awful. I use packing tape wrapped all the way around the diaper. I have to cut it off if I can't find the end where it overlaps but its worth it.
Q: My soon to be 2 year old took to taking his diaper off in the morning and pooping all over the crib.
As you can see, you are not alone.
The "solutions" that were found were really just band-aids that many times created other problems. It didn't take long for Shawn to realize that if there was going to be a solution to this very common problem, he had to develope it.
